Our military aerial #firefighting aircraft continue to help fight #CaliforniaWildfires. Since being activated, the four aircraft have flown 197 missions and made 180 drops of 4,365,574.4 lbs of retardant. That's a lot of orange slurry! MAFFS by the numbers: C-130 Hercules can discharge 3,000 gallons of fire retardant or water in less than five seconds, covering an area one-quarter of a mile long by 100 feet wide. The aircraft can be refilled in less than 12 minutes. #WeHaveTheWatch #MilitarySupp
