Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano erupted on Saturday (Dec. 6), sending lava towards a remote camera that had been capturing the eruption. The camera was soon engulfed in ash and went offline. Lava fountains reaching 30 metres high were observed during the eruption, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
