In the Dole horse, no stallion is allowed to breed unlimited numbers of mares. Using one stallion more than others does not cause immediate problems. The first generation can look fine. The second can still look successful. What changes is the structure underneath. One stallion doesn’t just produce more foals. He produces more ‘lines’. ETA: He has a malformation/misalignment in his C2-3 Vertebra. We know this. And know he has some spinal cord compression there. He does not have Wobblers. And no, his blanket isn’t causing it as he will do it with and without the blanket on. We still aren’t sure WHY this happens or what exactly is happening. Is it mechanical? Is it neurological? Is it muscular (like a spasm)? Soft Tissue Injury? We don’t have the answers yet. If anyone has experienced anything like this before please let me know

Okay friends, gather ‘round because today’s lesson was ALL about the poles of pointlessness (also known as poles). Apparently, my mum thinks there are about a million different ways to use these things. First, I had to walk over them—which is fine, I guess, as long as I don’t trip and make myself look silly. Then it was walk between them—like, why? There’s so much open space around here and yet we’re zig-zagging between sticks on the ground. Then came the backing up between them part. Backwards.
